Directorate change

DRS Data & Research Services plc (“DRS”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sir David Brown to the Board with effect from 1 August 2008 as a non-executive director and Deputy Chairman.

Sir David will bring a wealth of experience to DRS.

He began his career in telecommunications and electronics after graduating in electrical engineering in 1972.  He joined Motorola in 1991 as Director of UK Operations in its cellular infrastructure business and became Chairman of the UK company in 1997.  He will retire from Motorola in July 2008.

He served for six years as a member of the UK’s Industrial Development Advisory Board and was Vice Chairman of the Board of UK Trade and Investment.

Sir David is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute and an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute, of which he is President.  He was President of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, President of the Federation of the Electronics Industry and President of the Association for Science Education.

He was Knighted in 2001 for services to British Industry.

Sir David Brown is also a director of Ceres Power Holdings plc (registered number 5174075).

Within the last 5 years he has served as a director of The Peninsular and Oriental Navigation Company (P&O) (registered number Z73). He is no longer serving as a director of this company.

We are informed that Sir David Brown has also been appointed as a non-executive director of Domino Printing Sciences plc registered number 1363137 and will take up this appointment on 1 August 2008.

There are no other matters that are required to be announced under paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.
