DRS Data & Research Services plc will announce its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2005 on Monday 27 March 2006. Ahead of the announcement and prior to entering its closed period, DRS Data & Research Services plc today issues the following trading update.

Work commenced in the last quarter of 2005 to print the Nigerian Census forms.

This is due to be completed in February 2006.

The Board is pleased to announce that an outline pricing agreement has been established with the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) for the supply of e-Marker® services for 2006.

The Board confirms that trading for 2005 was in line with market expectations.

Following a group reorganisation on 1 January 2006 which involved the establishment of an operating company subsidiary named DRS Data Services Limited, with effect from 17 January 2006, Messrs Stephen Mark Beats, Gary Brighton and Simon John Day have resigned from the DRS Data & Research Services plc holding company board and have taken up positions on the board of DRS Data Services Limited.
