Peladon Software wins major UK order processing contract

28th February 2007

UK based Peladon Software Ltd, wholly own subsidiary of DRS Data & Research Services plc, is to provide Kent County Council’s County Supplies business unit with Optical Character Recognition software to streamline customer orders.

Peladon Software Ltd will be providing its DocXP Intelligent Data Capture software to fully automate the input of the Council’s 2,000 weekly customer orders. DocXP IDC will automatically classify, capture and validate the data from the customer orders and transfer the information into the Council’s trading system, helping to increase accuracy and efficiency of Kent County Supplies order processing.

This contract award comes as Kent County Supplies continue to drive improved efficiencies and service to customers.

A significant factor in the contract award was Peladon Software’s reputation and expertise in document processing, and the satisfaction level from existing DocXP IDC customers such a Kent County Supplies northern counterpart, the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation. Since implementing DocXP® IDC, the YPO has achieved an increase of 12% in processing levels whilst reducing costs by over 50%.

Peladon Software Ltd will be carrying out the installation, training and on-going maintenance of DocXP IDC at Kent County Supplies.
