DRS awarded Durham University contract
DRS has recently been awarded the contract to continue supplying the Middle Years Information System (MidYIS) examinations and Year eleven Information System (Yellis) student perception surveys to Durham University.
The contract, which will be delivered through its sophisticated bureau service, will see DRS supply the exam and survey booklets until 2008 and will involve the design, print, collation and distribution of the booklets, through to the scanning and reporting of the results.
Over 300,000 MidYIS exam booklets are distributed by DRS to over 2,000 schools throughout the UK. Each booklet comprises 32 pages which represents over 10 million printed A4 pages. 80,000 Yellis surveys are also distributed each year.
DRS has been working with Durham University since 1996, and has developed a strong working partnership with the University. Mark Wightman, Project Manager at Durham’s CEM Centre said “DRS’ excellent level of service, along with its flexible and reliable approach contributed to the contract award.”
Martyn Roan, General Manager - Education at DRS, said “We are delighted to have renewed this long standing contract with Durham University and look forward to the challenge of supplying the MidYIS and Yellis booklets for the next 5 years.”
