DRS meets HM The Queen

07th March 2003

Linford Wood based DRS Data & Research Services plc met Her Majesty The Queen at Buckingham Palace on 17 February 2003 at a reception for winners of all categories of the 2002 Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

The reception was hosted by Her Majesty and Prince Philip with Princess Anne, Prince Edward and the Dukes of Gloucester and Kent present.

DRS was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade based on commercial success and substantial growth in overseas earnings, to levels which are outstanding for the goods or services concerned, and for the size operations. Out of 900 applications, only 131 were successful in winning the award in all three categories (International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development).

Tony Lee, DRS managing director, said "we were thrilled to have received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, this event marks further recognition for the efforts of everyone in DRS in helping us win this prestigious Award for our remarkable export activities".
