DRS IntelliReg® Card Based e-Registration and Access Control
DRS IntelliReg® can also be used as a card based e-registration and access control solution for students and staff. Students use their card/fob to register and can also gain entry to access controlled doors. Each registration contains the date, time, reader ID to determine the location and ID number.
Each student is issued a card via an enrolment PC (the card is capable of being printed on via a dye sublimation printer). The card is linked to the imported student record in IntelliReg® via the unique encoded number on the card and a corresponding field in the student record thus ensuring only relevant attendance marks are attributed to individual students.
The student registers their attendance by placing their card near the registration readers, which are located around the school or college and inside the teaching spaces. The registration transactions are passed across the host network to the IntelliReg® database and is logged and saved inside IntelliReg® for later analysis and reporting. The attendance data is also seamlessly transmitted back to the school or college MIS and dynamically linked into the attendance record of that student.
