2009 Sudan Census
With the last successful national population census dating back more than 20 years, the fifth population census of Sudan was the country’s most ambitious and important statistical project ever. The delivery was a key requirement for the organisation of the mid-term general elections with the census results also being used to inform the decision-making process within the government, business and NGO sectors, as well as enable policy and programme monitoring.
2007 Sudan Pilot Census
Technology testing underway for census field logistics, questionnaire design, data processing and tabulation for complex census project.
2007 Nigeria Census
DRS contracted to design and optimise 50,000,000 census questionnaires including fingerprints and signatures.
2007 Ethiopia Census
Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia commissions DRS to produce millions of census forms and scanning technology to process the results.
