DRS to exhibit at Student Record Officers’ Conference

Education technology provider, DRS is to exhibit at the 2009 Student Record Officers’ Conference (SROC) which brings together higher education staff working in the field of student records in universities and colleges.

The conference, which is to be held at the University of Bradford from 6th to 8th April, will explore current issues of interest to student record officers, including e-Registration, cashless catering and access controls.

Debbie Rofe, head of marketing at DRS, comments: “As specialists in electronic attendance and registration solutions, DRS e-Registration technologies are deployed in tens of thousands of schools and colleges, so we have the expertise and knowledge to be able to make a valuable contribution to this event.”

DRS IntelliReg® is a real-time e-Registration solution which electronically records the presence, absence or lateness of students.  IntelliReg® can be combined with access control, cashless catering, smart copiers, library systems and much more.  Students use their card, fingertip or a PIN to register.  All readers are in constant communication with the controlling PC, delivering real time information, necessary for managing registration and attendance accurately and efficiently.  Each registration contains the date, time and reader ID to determine the whereabouts of students at any given time.
