Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) – 12 months’ contract

We are keen to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer to help us deliver our next generation of electronic marking Software.

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical support for all infrastructure and middleware, on premise, traditional hosted and Azure IaaS/PaaS, Network and Security. You would be required to identify customer requirements for infrastructure architecture, produce proposals and solution options that are fit for purpose, whilst installing and configuring applications to meet defined and agreed customer requirements.

You would need to hold Microsoft qualifications in server and desktop technologies as well Azure Fundamentals and Infrastructure solutions. Extensive knowledge and experience in Active Directory and Cloud architecture is essential. You would be an excellent team player with great attention to detail and mentoring skills and willing to embrace on this fast pace and exciting project. 

Head of Operations

Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity exists for a new Head of Bureau Operations to join the team during this exciting change period including group integration and considerable growth.

The Role:
As Head of Bureau Operations, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of all bureau services in line with our Service Level Agreements and quality standards. You will lead the team through significant volume peaks, in particular, the Summer GCSE and A Level examination series which involves processing millions of examination scripts to the highest quality standard and within time critical deadlines.

The Person:
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with further qualification/experience in PRINCE2® and Six Sigma green belt (or equivalent) you will have a comprehensive understanding of large scale, time critical, logistically challenging environments.

Your approach to work will be analytical but with a great deal of common sense.
You will be adaptable, tenacious and resilient with the confidence to make challenging and critical decisions.  You will have the ability to inspire and lead your teams to share your passion for delivering results that enable people to achieve their dreams.

Software Developer - permanent

We are currently expanding our Software team and eager to recruit an experienced Developer.

As a Developer, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, building, and supporting reliable solutions that achieve DRS’ business objectives. You will be working within a team and engaging cooperatively with peers.

If you can demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Microsoft's .NET Framework, Visual Studio (C#) and SQL Server, with experience of unit testing with NUnit, we would like to hear from you. Knowledge of SSRS and WCF / WPF and experience of working in an Agile environment would also be desirable.
